Privacy Policy — Feel Buddha

Feel Buddha ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe. By using the Feel Buddha app or website, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in with Apple, Apple provides us with a unique user identifier. If you choose to share your name and email address during sign-in, we store those alongside your account record.

Content you create. Questions you submit to Ask Buddha, gratitude posts you share to the Wall, and your saved readings are stored on our servers so you can access them across sessions.

Usage data. We collect basic logs (request timestamps, HTTP status codes) for reliability and debugging. We do not track which screens you visit or build behavioural profiles.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your device identifiers or advertising IDs.
We do not use third-party analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.).
We do not sell or rent your personal information to any third party.
We do not track your location.
We do not run ads inside the app.

How We Use Your Information

To authenticate you and maintain your account securely.
To store your saved readings and gratitude posts so they persist across sessions and devices.
To generate AI guidance in response to your questions — your input is sent to an AI model and is not used to train that model.
To diagnose and fix technical issues using server logs.

Sign In with Apple

Feel Buddha uses Apple's Sign In with Apple system for authentication. This means:

We never see or store your Apple ID password.
You may choose to hide your email address — Apple provides a private relay address instead, which we accept and store.
You can revoke our access at any time from your Apple ID settings (Settings → Apple ID → Password & Security → Apps Using Apple ID).

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers hosted in the United States. We protect it using industry-standard practices: HTTPS for all network communication, encrypted JWT tokens stored only in your device's secure Keychain, and hashed passwords where applicable.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account in the app, all associated data — readings, gratitude posts, and account records — is permanently deleted from our servers.

Gratitude Wall

Posts you submit to the Gratitude Wall are visible to all users of the app. Do not include personal information in your gratitude posts. You can delete your own posts at any time from within the app.

Children's Privacy

Feel Buddha is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app (Settings → Delete Account). For any other request, contact us at the address below.
